Oppose this rezoning request. These changes will have a negative impact on current town residents. The residents of the proposed apartments and homes will under contribute to the school district. The current residents of the Town will be forced to make up the difference in increased taxes. Tightly packing this area with residences, shops and residences will greatly aggravate existing traffic problems.

I oppose this and all variances that increase densities and alter zoning.

You know the negative impact these changes would have on our well-being, enjoyment, safety and property values and so I won’t waste our time by re-stating them.

If approved, I will support a boycott of the following businesses: those located in the subject area, involved with the construction, owned by any Alderman who votes for it and any company that holds licenses for them.

Definitely NOT! This will be disastrous to our town. We are already overcrowded and traffic is horrible on White Rd. Adding another through street WILL NOT help.

These roads are neighborhood streets. Do not turn them into thoroughfares.

No more high density housing. The taxepayers get stuck with the cost of improved infrastructure while the developer and real estate agents profit.

Strongly opposed to this cut-through and development. There is no reason to provide a direct street from a populated, busy area, into a quiet neighborhood that has been around for decades. Families with children use Queen Oak and White Road to exercise, play, and provide a route to Powell Road Park. This will just increase speeding, crime, and is completely unnecessary. THIS WILL DROP OUR PROPERTY VALUES. Do not turn Collierville into Cordova.

Strongly to Oppose High Density Residential.
High Density Residential will overburden the schools, and add crime to Collierville.
Adding significantly more people in Collierville, will bring significantly more crime.
As a reminder: the Kroger Incident was committed by a resident of Collierville's High-Density Residential area.

I live with my wife and daughter who attends West Collierville Middle school. We are very concerned about the planning commission resolutions. It will result in less stable, transient people moving to Collierville, overcrowding our schools, likely bringing crime, and creating traffic problems. Last year my daughter had to walk 5 blocks and cross white road each day. I am concerned this will only make it more dangerous for kids using bus stops on white road.

I have concerns regarding the traffic impact of this development on the surrounding streets and intersections (Poplar, Byhalia, White and Queen Oak to Powell). The road infrastructure in this area is already congested during the business hours and at the afternoon commute. The traffic study needs to consider the unintended consequences related to the proposed cut-through.

I also have concerns on the density of apartments. Nearly 200 units imposes impacts to schools, traffic and crime.

I oppose this cut through. The White Road retention pond and ditch that runs along Queen Oaks cannot handle the additional runoff water from the new development. My yard backs up to the ditch. Currently any heavy rainfall floods my street as well as several yards. The water is not able to drain from the street to the ditch. This will create more flooding problems for me and my neighbors.

I oppose the rezoning of this area. It will not only create unnecessary traffic increases along Byhalia and Maynard road. This area is already notorious for backed up traffic, accidents, and happens to encapsulate a major shopping area. This will just cause additional bottlenecking and negative affect this area.

Don Welter 267 Revell Pt N - I do not support. This development moves more traffic unto Poplar and Byhalia via Maynard. Poplar is already a disaster and Byhalia is not fair behind esp after Kroger reopens. Just try and make a left turn or enter/leave any number of establishments. The proposed cut thru dumps more traffic unto White - a neighborhood/School/Park/Walking area - which is already getting crowded. Would like leadership to more urgently address our traffic problems

Please consider your constituents in this neighborhood. It affects them the most!
NO to more and unsafe traffic
NO to even more overcrowding at our schools
NO to no buffer from the busy streets of Poplar and Byhalia
Vote NO to keep our town a desirable place to live and raise our families.

I oppose the propsal to rezone the area related to the Ashby Planned Development to include high density residential. Respectfully implore the Planning Commission to reject this proposal.

No to max density. This proposed max density development will hurt the existing neighborhoods nearby by causing increased traffic and crime. This property should remain R1.

No. I understand the "opportunity" for builders/investors as people are moving to Collierville in droves, but you need to think about the wishes of those who "already live" here. These developments will cause overcrowding, a dangerous intersection at White/Queen Oak (and it will, it will be dangerous at some point), and cause the park-like detention pond and walking trail to lose its walkability enjoyment. Collierville's infrastructure can't keep up as it is. Enough. Vehemently opposed.

I live in Rosewood Plantation with my wife and three daughters who all attend Collierville schools. We are very concerned about the planning commission resolutions that propose a cut through on White Road and the clearing of the way for more apartments. I cannot imagine how this could possibly benefit the residents of Collierville. It will result in less stable, transient people moving to Collierville, overcrowding our schools, likely bringing crime, and creating traffic problems.

I am opposed to a cut through street. This area is a heavy traffic area. Neighborhood children walk and bike to school on this street daily. They are being put in jeopardy by allowing more traffic. Please consider the safety of the kids of this neighborhood and our children.

I am opposed to a cut through street. It creates excess traffic on an already extremely busy neighborhood street. Children walk this street daily to school. Children have been hurt by the traffic already. Please keep our community and kids safe by not allowing a cut through.
