Although we do not live in the historic district, we visit often. I believe that it is the most unique and authentic dining/entertainment/biz/shopping spot in the Midsouth.
Having traveled extensively, I can report that other historic areas which have matured to a level beyond ours, always have a hotel and a parking garage. I believe this is the catalyst which propels them to that and it will us as well. Let’s do this.
I would like to offer my enthusiastic support for the purchase of this property as well as for the development of a parking garage and hotel. While we have been moving in the right direction in implementing the Downtown Development Plan approved in 2010, this project is a game changer and will have a positive impact for all of Collierville. This board has an opportunity to add to the already great legacy of the Town Square.....please vote YES!
I think this is an outstanding proposal for the town to be able to fulfill a long-term objective of building a parking garage. The property owner's proposal to build an adjacent hotel will only work with the garage. Both additions will make a sea change in the future development of the downtown area.
