The complaints seem to center on children and young adults. Let's fix the correct problem. Perhaps an age restriction requiring 18 years and above for operation outside a 20 MPH neighborhood. What you propose is punishing seniors and adults that use eBikes for transportation and exercise, and are NOT part of the problem. Additionally, all these bike lanes have been put in, and they are the ideal place for eBikes to be used.

I support the restriction of use of EBikes and related vehicles as described as a way to support public safety for both riders and pedestrians. There have been too many close calls with these Ebikes and it is just a matter of time until a tragic event occurs. Many of these young riders have yet to be taught the full rules of the road as an operator of a motor vehicle, and that lack of knowledge and training is another reason I support their restriction on main thoroughfares as described.

Please amend the micromobility ordinance to protect ADA rights. The draft fails to address "Other Power-Driven Mobility Devices" (OPDMDs), used by people with mobility disabilities like my wife. To prevent illegal restrictions and confusion, please add a footnote clarifying that OPDMDs are permitted on all streets, sidewalks, and greenbelts in accordance with the ADA.
