7.a) Case # 215816 – 397 New Byhalia Road – Request approval of a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for a Convenience Store on 0.92 acres.
Applicant: Gill Properties, Inc. (Barry Maynard)
Applicant’s Representative: The Bray Firm (David Bray)
Property Owner: Regions Bank (Keith Pressley)
Project Planner: R. Scott Henninger, PLA, AICP
The area is already traffic stressed and one more convenience store is going to increase the traffic which will make the intersection even more dangerous and congested. I highly oppose the proposal as it brings more problems to the city and solves nothing. The space should be utilized for some activity or business which doesn’t generate the traffic in volumes as convenience store would.
Not enough space for more traffic on that road

The area is congested enough already. No need to make the main road to all the neighborhoods more congested
