10.A) Preliminary Site Plan for the Cartwright Place Business Center Planned Development (PD), (Chick-fil-A) for a 6,110 square foot restaurant on 2.54 acres located north of Poplar Avenue, west of Bray Station Road and east of Cartwright Farm Lane, Case #233183 (Presentation by: Donquetta Singleton, Assistant Town Planner)
Strongly Oppose. CFA high traffic volume will overwhelm the neighboring existing businesses and undeveloped lots in Cartwright Place and behind Regions, The south exit of Sycamore Ridge is the primary drive for residents in addition to being the access for all delivery and sanitation. Additional fixed constraints: 260 feet to Poplar from Greenhouse and a train that closes the intersection 12X per day. We have been opposed to this project from day 1 because it is UNSAFE.
After watching all the traffic stack up during lunch on Poplar I believe the only real solution is to support the move. Even with a 'No Left Turn's sign people continue to do so and endanger themselves and others. Moving the site further down Poplar and changing the exit pattern will correct some of this behavior. If folks are concerned with the traffic at the light then work with Chick-fil-A on a better traffic pattern as to ourright opposition.
I completely support the Collierville Chick-fil-A relocation. I appreciate the business and town’s thoroughness in planning all aspects to best serve our community.
I strongly oppose this location for the CFA. Moving it further west will push the traffic problems closer to the hospital-medical complex, is that really what we want as a town? And a fast-food restaurant with a full-length double drive-thru solves nothing - it just doubles the number of cars that have to fight their way back onto Poplar or around to Bray Station - which was never designed or supposed to carry that kind of traffic. Vote NO and ask CFA to find a more suitable location.
Strongly oppose this location for CFA. It won't be an eat-in, hangout kind of place with two full length drive through lanes. Expect traffic as bad or worse than what we have now, extending onto Poplar and back around to Bray Station, which is nothing more than a rural 2-lane road with plenty of current safety issues (speeding, no shoulders, blind hills). CFA is great for Collierville, just not at this location. Please consider the safety of the neighborhoods and vote like you care.
The plannning and layout for this new location is well thought out. Moves cars safely off of poplar and then onto the chic fil a property. Will make poplar much safer and allow a Collierville owned restaurant to grow and further support our community.
STRONGLY oppose this site. Because it CAN build here doesn’t mean it SHOULD. Having an unsafe residential 2-lane road serving as a major access road to this site is a recipe for disaster! A traffic magnet like CFA should not have 1000s of cars accessing it (coming & going) from a 2-lane country residential road. BMA please stand up for safety of our citizens - don’t be pressured by landowners, developers, or CFA. Protecting our safety now AND in the future as our town grows is your #1 priority!
Strongly oppose! Allowing a 6100 sq ft CFA here, with tons of development going in around it & a very dangerous intersection already at Poplar & Bray (see accident reports) will create new & worse problems. Multiple neighborhoods (everyone located N of Poplar) & WCMS traffic will all use 2-lane, narrow, dangerous Bray going to & from this site. Bray can’t handle this kind of flow & someone’s going to get killed. Speeders, narrow, no shoulder, & blind hills. BMA must protect residents & vote no.

This is the smartest and safest option. I support the new Chick-fil-A Location
I strongly support this. It is a great location for the Chick-Fil-A that everyone loves in Collierville.
I strongly OPPOSE this proposal. There are still too many unanswered and unaddressed safety and traffic issues raised by this proposal.
