I absolutely OPPOSE the proposed gas station at the corner of Byhalia and Collierville Rd. The proximity to residential areas says it all! Please research criminal activity related to these types of establishments, consider the proximity to 385, and vote NO.

I oppose this plan. There are several convenience stores within the same area. There is no need to add any more eye sores to this beautiful area. I would also be worried about the potential crime this store could bring to the area.

Please do not approve this request. The surrounding residential neighborhoods do not need convenience stores nor gas stations in their backyards. These neighborhoods don't need the significant increase in traffic volume created by developments like this. Thank you for considering input from nearby neighbors. Thank you.

Please do not put this gas station here. This will only increase crime and violence in Collierville. It is the perfect spot for criminals with highway access both north and south. It is also not necessary since there are an adequate number of gas stations less than 0.10 mile away. Please keep our children and community safe by not building a place for criminal activity. Many of us moved here to get away from that nonsense and provide our families with a safe environment. Gas station=drugs&crime

My family and I live near this intersection and oppose a gas station as stated by others the fear of the crime this may bring. There have been several criminal situations at the near by gas station and on the 385/byhalia off ramp which led to a man being shot. Our family walks and runs on the sidewalks along the proposed site it will bring about a lot of traffic and danger.

    Strongly oppose

I strongly oppose the gas station opposed for The Byhalia Commons. I believe This gas station will increase crime in our area as evidence by the officer involved shooting and woman being robbed at gun point at the Shell station on the corner of Byhalia and Winchester owner by the same group. There are multiple gas stations within a one mile radius and it’s unnecessary to add another. Not to mention the negative effect this will have on traffic. We do not need ANOTHER gas station.

I think it’s a great idea for a convenience store here. I’m in full support!

I’m opposed to this. We already have a convenience store in less than a mile and had so many incidents there. Think of having one in our community is very scary.

If you look at the area starting at Collierville road all the way down south on Byhalia and across on Shelby from Collierville High school to Collierville mall, it is all residential subdivisions and complexes consisting of single-family living homes. Here, people feel safe and enjoy the pleasant environment of this residential atmosphere, like it’s a small community. A gas station would be a stark contrast to this peaceful environment and would be a blight in this area.

This is a residential neighborhood and all the amenities are within a short drive to Poplar or Winchester. I strongly suggest to preserve the integrity of the neighborhood and protect the property values. Please help to keep the area feel like home.

I oppose this. This primarily residential area and no need of another convenience store in the area. There are plenty already within a a mile radius.

I'm definitely opposed to this development, this type of building is not called for this close to residential homes, we also have enough traffic with the new high school and increased dev in MS. I'm sure that the intersection of 385 and Byhalia will get 1-2 gas stations soon, one this close to residential is not acceptable and cant believe it would be considered. This would draw increased traffic off 385 and we don't need increased truck traffic in this area of residential subdivisions.

I oppose the placement of a convenience store at this location. There are already several shopping options available to the residents in this area without having to lower the property value of all of the homes in close proximity to the proposed store. We moved and remain in Colliervile for the small town feel and not feeling of over congestion with businesses and the added traffic because of those businesses.

I vehemently oppose a convenient store at this location. There is no need. There are 14 stores listed as convenient stores within a 5 mile radius, a Walmart supercenter, and one convenience store just 1.3 miles to the north on Byhalia. Not to mention the fact that this will greatly devalue homes in that area. That is a statistically proven fact as is the fact that convenience stores or hard targets for repeat repeat criminal activity. (Sic study by Az. St. Univ). This goes in, we leave Cville.

Totally oppose, we do not need a gas station in our neighborhood, the gas station is going to bring crime, if you want stats we can provide tons of information what a gas station brings in a residential neighborhood.
Collierville always has been a nice neighborhood almost free of crime, we do not need a gas station, as matter of fact we already have a gas station half of mile from that location. Please do not bring crime to our neighborhood.
