I don't believe a service station/convenience store is appropriate for this area. I believe it would only result in more transient traffic in the area that brings along it's own baggage. Having lived Here for the past 17 years, I can't think of any other residential area with such a business located right in the middle of it.

As a resident in a neighboring subdivision, I oppose this proposal as there are safety concerns due to potential crime implications with a convenience store. This is a residential neighborhood with schools, where people walk their pets and play tennis. We do not need an additional influx of traffic. This proposal also affects the environment with air pollution and soil pollution. This also will decrease property values which for many is the biggest investment that many have.

Opposed. Heavy traffic at times with a double left turn in a residential and school area. Better to put north of Collierville Rd just off 385. Do not need to draw people from out of the area to a residential area. Increases crime. The station at Winchester - Byhalia has been the scene of many arrests. Why put a gas station where not needed nor wanted by the vast majority of the people who live here. You don’t see gas stations north of White Rd on Byhalia or on Houston Levee.

This is not needed surrounded by neighborhoods when the Poplar corridor is close by.

We would like to keep our neighborhood as only residential. No business as that will bring other, unwarranted traffic. Thank you for your consideration.

I disagree with having a convenience store so close to our Subdivision (Southridge).

A gas station would be better suited closer to I-385 as compared to the proposed location. I would prefer other shopping option in that location such as a International Farmer's Market or Aldi.

I strongly oppose this due to the following detriments that residents of the area will face.
    1-Lowered Property Values
    2-Enviromental Impacts
    3- Quality of Life decrease
    4- Noise and Congestion
    5- Security concerns

I oppose the planned development as a convenience store for multiple reasons; first b/c we have one right down street on Byhalia and it gets robbed, as do the people that are in parking lot...probably b/c of the East getaway on the expressway; the exact thing would happen to this one! Secondly, this is a neighborhood of subdivisions and we don’t want all the traffic the store would bring. Bottom line, we don’t want it need it.

No to your proposed plans. Just can’t wonder how unsafe and inconvenient it would be to all the neighborhoods and the two major schools nearby.

I am CONFUSED like whether the chicken came first or the egg. The project proposal talks about the project to be on the North East corner of south Byhalia road while the corresponding public NOTICE from the town has been physical placed on North West Corner of the South Byhalia road. Seems kind of misleading.

I live in that area. We love to ride our bikes and walk in that area. A gas station would congest the area and make it unsafe to do so. Also there is a gas station on Byhalia a few miles up the road and also there is another gas station at the end of Shelby Drive on 72.

I oppose a c-store in this location. I am for usage that benefits nearby residents, but this will invite crime as seen at nearby Shell, increase through traffic, reduce safety for residents on walks, and impact travel to/from CHS.
Three c-stores are requesting CUPs in the 0.8 miles south of 385. There could be seven in 2mi on Byhalia. This would be like Germantown Pkwy with lower population density. No other c-stores in town seem so close to homes without established big box or retail centers.
