8.d) Case #233183 – Cartwright Place Business Center PD (Chick-fil-A) –Request approval of a Preliminary Site Plan for a 6,110-square foot restaurant on 2.54 acres located north of Poplar Avenue, west of Bray Station Road and east of Cartwright Farm Lane.
Applicant: GBC Design Inc. (Allan Wiley, P.E.)
Property Owner: Cartwright Clara S. Exempt Residuary Trust (Woods Weathersby)
Project Planner: Donquetta M. Singleton
I do not want the new location at Poplar and Bray Station. Traffic and congestion is already horrible on Poplar. This location will increase traffic on Bray Station, which is a narrow two lane road with no margin for error. Wrecks will absolutely increase. There are many locations available that will not burden a residential street. Please consider the safety of Collierville residents and visitors and locate this restaurant elsewhere!
I oppose the construction of a Chick fil A at the proposed location. As a resident on Bray Station we are already bombarded with traffic issues. The contemplated traffic volumes will destroy our little street. Commenters approving this plan do not live on Bray. I’d be all for it too if I didn’t have to live with the traffic six days a week. Getting to our mailbox is already a trial, taking our lives in our hands. This is not consistent with good planning. Please vote this down!
Chick Fila is a great supporter of the community. They should be allowed to move and redesign their parking and drive thru to be more efficient and continue to service the community. Grant Gibbs is a long time Collierville resident and a good man. This should be approved.
New site will cause unique safety issues. The Bray Station and Cartwright entrances will create overwhelming traffic on 2-lane Bray Station. West bound roads Shelton, Frank and Civic Center to Bray Station will be most popular routes for residents living east of Bray Station. Residents traveling from Houston Levee will take Frank Road to Bray Station. Increased traffic on the two-lane Bray Station creates significant SAFETY concerns, particularly at Shelton, Frank and Civic Center intersections.
I fully support and extremely excited about an updated site plan at this location. I will definitely make getting a chicken biscuit a lot less stressful.
I would emphatically support this if there is a corresponding plan for the old site so that it is not left vacant like the old McDonald’s site, such as demolition or another restaurant tenant lined up.
This is a great idea! This new location would ease the traffic that backs up onto Poplar Avenue. Also, this new location would offer a larger safer, parking area that would provide benefit for both the consumer and the Chick-Fil-A employees.
I think a new chick fil a would be beneficial for everyone with how busy Poplar gets having people trying to get into chick fil a some people even call it the chick fil a lane- and then once you get into the parking lot it’s cramped and with a bigger space these issues would be resolved
Chick fil a is a great opportunity for the employees to grow; this us especially true for the younger employees. The college opportunities are fruitful. This sets a good standard for similar employers. Collierville is a small town feeling with connections to suburbia. Chick fil a is a great bridge for this feeling. Their service is second to none and on par with what a small town seeks.
The benefits far outweigh the cons of possible traffic. The traffic alone only supports the services offered.
This is a great idea! This new location would ease traffic near the current location AND provide more tax revenue for the Town. Great idea, 100% support!

I like this plan. Just what Collierville needs!

I support the New location for the Chic Fil A. And will be there Dec 7 to show my support of it also.
I am in full support of moving chick fil a to the new location.
